Religious Trauma Support Group

Reconnect with your body, deepen self-awareness, and build a sense of safety and belonging in community with others

This 6-week in-person therapy group offers a supportive and grounded space for adults healing from religious trauma.

Through a blend of Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic trauma work, and narrative therapy, participants will explore the effects of high-control faith experiences and reconnect with their inner wisdom, identity, and body.

Religious trauma often disrupts not only belief systems, but also a person’s relationship to their body, identity, and spirituality. This group helps you begin the journey of making meaning and finding your way home to yourself.

Come back home to yourself.

Meet your facilitators:

Sandy Brown, LPCC

Master’s Level Trauma Therapist

“Having walked a similar path myself, I know how isolating and painful it can feel to question deeply ingrained beliefs or confront the past. That’s why I’m here to offer compassionate, nonjudgmental support as you reclaim your story and build a life that feels meaningful and fulfilling.

When we work together, you’ll have an empathetic ally who truly understands your journey.”

Jade Davies, MA, LPC

EMDR + AEDP Therapist

“For many who’ve experienced religious trauma or harmful encounters with authority figures, power is often misused, exploiting kindness and vulnerability. These experiences can leave you feeling disconnected from your own agency. In our work, we aim to shift that dynamic, helping you reclaim your sense of power and autonomy. Through a compassionate and collaborative process, you’ll learn to trust yourself, making decisions that align with your values and desires. My goal is to help you feel empowered, grounded, and fully in control of your healing journey.”
